[Ben Campbell] (0:01): Hello and welcome to today’s Community Spotlight where I introduce local companies I know and trust and introduce them to you. I’m your host Ben Campbell and today I am here with Joey with Mary’s Rose Video. So, Joey, how did you get into this business?

[Joey] (0:17): I got into this business making videos at the Boys and Girls Club. And then a person older than me who had a successful video business kind of took me under his wing for about a year.

[Ben Campbell] (0:27): Nice.

[Joe] (0:27): He left the state and I had to fly.

[Ben Campbell] (0:31): There you go. Amen. Sink or swim. Good. And I’ve seen so much of Joey’s videos online and what’s nice is he’s younger and ambitious but he has the business mindset on the back end as well. And it’s truly impressive. He knows exactly what he’s doing and it’s, yeah, very impressive. So, what’s one thing everyone should know about hiring you or using your business?

[Joey] (0:56): I think one thing everyone should know about hiring me is I try to focus a lot on communication of video. Video a lot of times is art but sometimes it’s seen strictly as art when the most important part is the communication and truly communicating to your clients and potential clients.

[Ben Campbell] (1:15): Exactly.

[Joey] (1:15): That’s what we’re focused on.

[Ben Campbell] (1:16): Communicating exactly what they need out of you in the production, you know, and out of video. Communication is absolutely key in every industry. I’m happy you focus on that. Okay. What is unique about your company?

[Joey] (1:30): Something unique about my company I think would be a lot of times when I’ve worked with clients who have had video, they mention the process is a lot easier. I think that the most modern technology and it’s saving time on the shoot, saving time in the post-production, and the product is still expensive.

[Ben Campbell] (1:59): You’re up to date with all the technology, everything else, and efficient.

[Joey] (2:02): Exactly.

[Ben Campbell] (2:02): That’s fantastic.

[Joey] (2:03): Exactly.

[Ben Campbell] (2:04): Okay, this is, again, my favorite question. What is your favorite movie?

[Joey] (2:09): My favorite movie is probably The Bronx Tale.

[Ben Campbell] (2:15): The Bronx Tale.

[Joey] (2:16): Yeah.

[Ben Campbell] (2:16): I have not watched it.

[Joey] (2:18): Really?

[Ben Campbell] (2:19): I haven’t seen it. When did it come out? What’s “The Bronx Tale”?

[Joey] (2:21): Really?

[Ben Campbell] (2:21): Yeah.

[Joey] (2:22): It came out before I was born so I’m not really sure.

[Ben Campbell] (2:24): Oh. Okay, I’ll put it on my list.

[Joey] (2:27): Yeah, The Bronx Tale.

[Ben Campbell] (2:27): I’m always looking for new movies to watch.

[Joey] (2:28): You’ve got to watch that. Okay.
